All Began From Two Best Friends Want to Make a Stupid Movie

Seth Rogen, one of my favourite actors, grew up in Vancouver and began his career as a stand-up comedian at a very young age. When he was in high school, he and his friend Evan Goldberg wanted to make a movie about their daily life, so they just wrote down what happened yesterday, and then kept doing this day by day. Long story short, when I first watched this movie in 2009, I fell in love with it immediately. It opens the door to pop culture for me. Every year I rewatch it one or two times, still makes me laugh. Every time I watch it, feel like I got back to my high school. Give me this feeling, though I grew up in a completely different culture, I have connected with those characters. After all these years, those actors became big stars and the movie became part of the pop culture. It all began from two best friends wanted to make a stupid movie.

Michael Cera as Evan

Michael Cera as Evan

I knew Michael Cera from Juno and Arrested Development. He played Evan in Superbad, which is based on another screenwriter, Evan Goldberg. Besides his actor career, he formed a band called “The Long Goodbye” with Clark Duke.

Jonah Hill as Seth

When the film finally began to happen. Seth was already 25. When Johna got this script, he thought he must get this role. Seth thought Johna was too old to play a high school student too, but after an audition in Seth's trailer, Johna became Seth.

Chris as mclovin

Chris Mintz-Plasse as McLOVIN

First time on the big screen, then became part of pop culture, what are the odds? Christopher Mintz-Plasse made it, his performance was so convincing and hilarious. He was so perfect for this role. He is McLOVIN.

Emma Stone as Jules

Emma Stone as Jules

This was Emma Stone's first experience on the big screen, who would think just nine years later, she would be an Oscar winner. I have seen almost all of her work, but not in purpose. Looking forward to her new show with Nathan Fielder called The Curse.
